Sanem and Alkan, started studying Tango in Turkey with the exceptional instructors of BailaTango Ankara, Servet and Figen Moran, in 2000. Shortly after moving to the United States, in 2003, they joined the BailaTango family. Their primary inspiration and teacher is Metin Yazir, who is the founder of BailaTango and is one of the very best Argentine Tango performers/instructors in the world.
Sanem and Alkan consider themselves very lucky to have the chance of performing and teaching Tango in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area. Tango is their passion, it is a way of enjoying the zest of life, and also a way of meditation. In their teaching they focus on leader and follower technique while introducing the easy, natural and comfortable side of Argentine Tango to their students.
